Learn to code and become a Junior Software Developer or Junior Cloud Engineer with _nology. Prior to your employment with us, you’ll embark on 12 weeks of fully remote (full-time) training conducted by our team of expert instructors.

Kickstart a career in tech

Spend 12 weeks (full-time) training with our instructors, learning the foundations you need to launch a thriving tech career. Upon successful completion of the training, we’ll hire you as a _nologist. You’ll then be deployed to work on-site with one of our clients (think Deutsche Bank, Admiral, and Accenture) as a Junior Software Developer or Junior Cloud Engineer depending on the training cohort you joined.

In response to market conditions and the rising cost of living, we have increased the _nologist salary range. This means that our new _nologist salaries will be as follows:

0-6 months employed – £26,000

7-12 months employed – £28,000

13-18 months employed – £30,000

How our Tech Accelerator works

We’re addressing the digital skills shortage by running our own technology training, designed to equip you with the skills required to launch an exciting career in tech.

We’ll teach all the skills you need to thrive in your new role, from problem-solving to collaboration, and from coding to managing projects.
You’ll spend 12 weeks training with our expert coaches (full-time). It might sound daunting at first, but don’t worry – since 2018, our global team have helped hundreds of _nologists with no previous experience launch a thriving new tech career.
Training is open to any tech enthusiast, from any background. No previous coding experience or background in tech is necessary – just the passion and determination to learn!
Our aim is to tackle the skills shortage and lack of diversity within the tech sector by breaking down the barriers to entry and making space for everyone, regardless of their background.

Handy Tips to ace our assessment process

Our training is intensive, which is why we ensure everyone who joins us is ready for 12 weeks of fast-paced learning. Whilst you don’t need a background in tech, there are a few key skills we’ll be looking out for, including self-development, intellectual horsepower, learning on the fly, curiosity, honesty, integrity, problem-solving ability, and an encouraging/ sharing mentality.

In order to ensure the course is right for you, we’ll conduct a bias-free solo interview – we view CVs ‘blind’, meaning that our assessment process is as inclusive as possible right from the beginning. You’ll then be invited to join our aptitude test – it’s not as scary as it sounds, this is just our way or seeing how well you can identify patterns and use logical thinking to solve problems. Again, you won’t need any previous coding or tech experience to do well here! You’ll then join our group assessment centre, where you’ll get to meet other like-minded individuals through one of our ice-breaker sessions, take part in a beginners training session about JavaScript (one of the coding languages we teach), and get involved with a group problem-solving activity.

We work with a number of CSR and charity partners, including the Prince’s Trust and the National Autistic Society, to ensure our assessment and training processes are adequately adapted to those with different needs. HOW WE TRAIN FOR SUCCESS

During your training, you’ll study full-time before transitioning to join a client project. You’ll form part of an agile training team, learning by doing. We’ll spend time understanding how software products are built in different companies in different industries. This will allow you to be able to solve complex problems with simple solutions – focusing on adaptability in a software role. Your team will become a tight-knit group over the fully immersive training period before integrating into the wider tech sector. Here are the headlines:

LAUNCHING YOUR NEW CAREER

Upon successful completion of your training, you’ll receive a conditional job placement. We’ll deploy you as a Junior Cloud Engineer or a Junior Software Developer (dependent on the training cohort you joined) on an 18-month placement with one of our UK clients in an office-based, hybrid, or remote role.

During your 18-month client placement you’ll gain practical experience working on a variety of exciting projects as part of a real tech team. Our Talent Team will be on hand throughout your placement to support and provide further coaching, with check-ins at week 1 and week 2, and monthly thereafter.

Receive a relocation bonus of £2,000! If you are already based in the UK but are needed to relocate for the role post-training, you will be eligible for this bonus in your first pay packet. We will need you to be open to relocating within the UK, including to London.

At _nology we take anyone from any background and teach them to code, after the initial 12 weeks of training you will become a _nologist on a starting salary of £26k with pay rises every 6 months.

We then deploy you into an 18 month placement with our fantastic clients, enabling you to further your training and work as part of a real tech team.

During this time you’ll have unlimited access to the _nology support team alongside a whole host of other benefits.

After completing your training and being placed into one of our UK clients you will receive a competitive starting salary.

Yes! We offer a relocation bonus of £2,000.
If you are already based in the UK but are needed to relocate for the role post-training, you will be eligible for this bonus in your first pay packet. We will need you to be open to relocating within the UK, including to London.

If you are placed into a role and you're unhappy, we do our best to understand why that is and help – through speaking with client, providing coaching or additional upskilling. We would want the process to be a positive one for both you and the client, so we’d do our very best to help and sort out the situation. If we think the client is being unfair/providing a bad environment, we’d withdraw you, otherwise we’d work with you get you back on track and feeling happy in the workplace. It is so important for us that you are happy.

In regards to leaving employment during the first 18 months with us, you would then be expected to pay back the training fee on a pro rata basis. I.e. if you leave after 9 months, you'd be expected to pay half of the course fee approx £4.5k.

Your pension and benefits will come through us, so these benefits include:
